Preparing for your Beach Vacation

Packing and getting organized for your trip ahead of time will make check-in day much smoother. Please use our handy guide to ensure you have everything you need. All of our properties have sheets and towels. You WILL need to bring your own beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys. There are also services on the island that deliver beach and baby equipemnt to your rental. DIRE works with these vendors to have everything ready for you when you get here!

Use this list to help you pack:

papertowels/ TP; Trash bags, Dishwasher pods, Dish soap, Condiments, Spices, Laundry detergent, Bath soap, Bluetooth speaker, Umbrella, Hair dryer, Sunscreen, Hats, Sungalsses, Bug spray, life jackets, flashlight, ice chest, charcoal, phone charger, watch charges, medications, sound machine, pack and play. 

Tips to make arrival day easier~

Bring an ice chest for soft drinks, water, adult beverages. When you have a full house and everyone is opening the fridge every few minutes, it can cause issues with the fridge. 

Let us know when you are going to arrive so we can notify housekeeping. Bring ice for your groceries if you are super early. Remember, check-in begins at 4pm central but we will get you in your rental as soon as it is clean!

Dining on DI~

Summer is busy and restaurants fill up quick. On check-in day plan ahead and consider eating at your rental, especially if you are arriving on a Saturday. Weekends can have long wait times and no one wants to deal with that after a long day of travel. Skinners seafood offers steamed meals to-go that you can call in ahead of time. Pizza From Island Rainbow or Pirates Pizza is another good option for the first day, just remember to order early as wait times get long during peak season!
